Peace Over Violence
We mourn the assassination of Haiti's president, Jovenel Moïse, and stand in solidarity with those who choose peace over violence.
We are working to ensure the continued safety and security of our team in Haiti, as well as assessing how we can support Haitian families during their time of need. We appreciate all of our partners and supporters who have reached out and have dedicated themselves to prayer.
If you have been following us for any period of time, you know that Haiti is close to the hearts of our founders and our team, and we have many team members on the ground living in Haiti. Over the past five years, we have has traveled many times to Haiti and have brought teams down to experience the work of our ministry. We hope for peace to come to Haiti for the sake of the families, and that we can soon visit to support.
Though Haiti faces political turmoil, please ask that you remember them and pray for the people living there. As our friends at Half United pointed out, "One of the greatest causes of hunger is an unstable environment or a destruction of infrastructure." Through the power of prayer, we believe peace can come and God's will can be done in Haiti as it is in heaven.
