Political Status of Haiti: A Path Towards Stability

Haiti is undergoing significant political changes aimed at stabilizing the country and paving the way for a brighter future. On June 12th, a new transitional government was installed, marking a crucial step towards stability. This new leadership is focused on addressing the nation’s challenges and working towards a more secure and prosperous Haiti.

A key component of these efforts is the recent arrival of a multinational force. Yesterday, 400 soldiers arrived in Haiti, with more expected to join soon. This force is dedicated to reducing the widespread violence and creating a safer environment for all Haitians. Their presence is a vital step towards achieving peace and security in the region.

In addition to the new government and the multinational force, steps are being taken to organize "free and fair elections" with international support. These elections are essential for establishing a legitimate and stable government that reflects the will of the Haitian people.

Feeding Program: Committed to Making a Difference

Amidst these political developments, ECM continues to make a positive impact through its feeding program. During the 2023-2024 school year, we have been able to feed 29,687 children daily, ensuring they receive the nutrition they need to thrive. Despite the challenges posed by violence, which has made it difficult to reach some areas, our commitment to this mission remains unwavering.

Looking ahead, we have ambitious goals for the 2024-2025 school year. We plan to feed even more children and open additional bakeries to support our efforts. Our dedication to expanding our reach and providing vital nutrition to children in need is stronger than ever.

We are grateful for the continued support and prayers from our community. Together, we can make a difference and contribute to a brighter future for Haiti. Thank you for standing with us in our mission to support and uplift the children of Haiti.
